The future is here – bring me my jetpack. Yves “the Jetman” Rossy and his protege, Vince Reffet do a fantastic job at illustrating that, pushing the limits of jetpack technology; and what better place to do it than Dubai? Warning – this video isn’t for the faint of heart, nor for those afraid of heights. Proceed at your own risk.

The nearly 12-minute video of HD footage was shot from a chase plane and GoPros attached to the jetmen, who as you can imagine, describe the whole experience as a complete thrill.

“I felt I was flying. It is just an insane feeling,” one of the jetmen said in the video. “The moment when the action is coming there is big concentration. It’s a mix of fear and adrenaline that we transform into good energy, into power.”

According to The Verge, Swiss pilot Rossy has been soaring through the air “with nothing but a set of jet propelled wings since 2006.” Apparently, Rossy is one of the only people across the globe with a working jetpack. He has flown next to a B17 bomber  above Wisconsin and circled Mount Fuji in Japan in 2013 in a custom-made jetsuit, and also cruised above the Grand Canyon in 2011. He can now add Dubai to that impressive list.
