The Arctic tundra is one of the harshest environments on the face of the planet… but you wouldn’t tell that by looking at the photography of Ivan Kislov. In his pictures, the tundra is teeming with wildlife, represented in all its splendour.
Working as a mining engineer in the remote Chukotka region of Russia, Kislov uses photography as a way to relax and capture the stunning beauty of arctic wildlife. His website has no information, just pictures.
He’s become especially interested in foxed, which are very curious by nature and seem to have no problems in getting up close and personal with humans – and their cameras.
Working there, he has encountered most of the representative animals – hares, wolves, bears, herds of caribou, wolverines, weasels and countless bird species.
You can follow him either on his website, or on his 500px stream page. Here are just some of his pictures, if you want to see more, be sure to head on there.
